Arrival / Departure
The rooms are available to our guests from 2.00 p.m., which is why we ask you to vacate your room by 10.30 a.m. on the day of departure.
Bathrobes & SPA bag
Bathrobes and SPA bag with SPA towels are available for you in the box in your room. In the interests of environmental protection, we ask you to use them sparingly. Should you nevertheless require fresh SPA towels, our chambermaids will be happy to replace them for you during room cleaning.
Hotel slippers (bath slippers) cause an enormous amount of waste and are usually only used once. Please bring your own slippers with you on holiday. If you forget them at home, you will of course receive free hotel slippers from us at the hotel reception.
Bike hire
Cycling for pleasure is now even easier – with our new e-bikes!
So that even last-minute travellers can explore the Retzer Land region by bike, we offer 10 high-quality, well-equipped Victory eManufaktor e-bikes for a fee in our bike hire.
If you bring your own bikes or other sports equipment, we have a designated parking area in our car park. The car park is video-monitored at night, locked and only accessible with the room key. Accordingly, these items must also be deposited there.

Breakfast
Our rich breakfast from the Weinviertel gourmet buffet is available daily from 7.00 to 10.30 a.m. in our restaurant or on the hotel terrace in fine weather.
Credit cards
We accept Bankomat/Maestro, American Express, Diners Club, Visa as well as Eurocard/Mastercard.
Doctor
Please ask at reception (telephone extension 9) for the doctor on duty or the pharmacy on duty.
Do not disturb
If you do not wish to be disturbed, hang the “Do not disturb” sign on the outside of your room door and inform reception if and for how long you do not wish to receive calls.
Electricity
All rooms are equipped with 230 volt power connections. Austrian safety regulations prohibit the use of unearthed appliances. The use of irons, electric blankets or cooking appliances in hotel rooms is strictly prohibited! Thank you for your understanding!
Emergency exits
There is a notice on your room door indicating the nearest emergency exit. Please call reception in an emergency (telephone extension 9).
Fire extinguishers / escape routes
There are fire extinguishers labelled “F” on each floor. Please also observe the fire hazard notices and escape routes in your room!
Found objects
All found items are kept by our chambermaids. If you have lost something, please contact our reception!
Heuriger of 100 wines
Ideal for groups, family celebrations, clubbing – our Zirbenstüberl and Zeremonienstüberl are ideal for celebrations for up to 15 people. We look forward to your enquiry! More about the Heurigen of 100 wines.

Keys / SPA access cards
If you are planning a longer evening out, please take your room key with you. This locks the main hotel entrance and the side entrance in Haus Windmühle. Please do not forget to return the key to reception on your departure.
You can gain access to our VinoSPA with our SPA cards. If you have not yet received these, we will be happy to give them to you at reception! So nothing stands in the way of your relaxation! Please return the card to reception on your departure!
Letters / messages
Your letters, messages and newspapers will be deposited in the key box at reception.
Minibar
For the small thirst and hunger in every room. Billing takes place via reception.
Newspapers
Daily newspapers and magazines are available at reception and in the restaurant. We are also happy to organise your personal daily newspaper for you.
You can also read newspapers and magazines on your mobile phone, tablet or laptop free of charge throughout the Althof site. Simply start www.kiosk.at in your browser and start reading.

The nearest pharmacy is about a 10-minute walk from the hotel!

Postcards and stamps are available at reception. We are also happy to take your cards and letters to the post office.
Reception
Our reception is open from 6.30 a.m. to 10.00 p.m.
The reception team will be happy to provide you with all the information you need, as well as tips for excursions and travelling.
Of course we are available by telephone around the clock for emergencies (telephone extension 500).
Regional wine shop at the Vinarium
Sample 250 wines from 80 winegrowers and take them home at farm-gate prices! The Althof is home to the official Retzer Land regional vinotheque with the largest variety of regional wines in the whole of Lower Austria!
Our regional wine shop is open daily from 11.00 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. for wine tastings and wine sales from May to October. Outside of these times from November to April, please contact our reception.
In our online shop you will also find all the wines and can take your vinophile holiday memories home with you at any time.

Opening hours:
Monday to Sunday from 7.00 a.m. to 9.30 p.m.
Our SPA bistro in the Stube Znaim and the terrace in the idyllic castle courtyard are open daily from 11.30 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. You are also welcome to enjoy food and drinks here in your bathrobe!
For reservations and requests, please call the telephone extension 430.
Room bill
During your stay, you are welcome to have all your consumption in the hotel added to your room bill. Please do not forget to sign the receipt.
Safe / valuables
Cash and valuables must be kept in the safe in your room. These are insured there up to a maximum of € 500.-. Any valuables in excess of this amount or items that do not fit in the safe must be deposited in our hotel safe at reception.
Seminar rooms
In 10 flexible rooms for up to 350 people, you will find the right setting for every event and plenty of greenery all around for relaxed outdoor sessions. Everything flows. Pure energy and knowledge. More about the seminar at Althof Retz.
Shoe cleaning
A shoe shine machine is available for your use at room no. 1 (near the pillared hall/Säulenhalle), in the Kaiser Max seminar room (next to reception) and also in the room corridor upstairs by the restaurant.

The relaxation rooms and terrace of the VinoSPA are located within the 700-year-old castle walls. The infinity pool on the roof with a view of the windmill, vineyards and town hall tower is open from 7.30 a.m. to 9.30 p.m. You can enjoy the sauna experience with 6 regionally designed saunas from 3.00 to 9.30 p.m., on request from 10.30 a.m.
